It will be a battle of the bands virtually for 2020 during Music Prize. Local bands signed up for a spot in the Music Prize concert and lineup happening on Saturday, October 10. This year, the event occurs online and with the purchase of a $5 Music Prize pass, you can watch all of acts and get to vote for your favorite. The winner, announced on Tuesday, October 13, wins $1,000.
Plans are right now for the concert to start at 4:00 pm and conclude at 10:00 pm. In addition to your vote, you will have the opportunity to tip the bands with Venmo or Cash App to show your support for the artists who really couldn’t play in front of crowds since the pandemic hit. They would appreciate it. Another highlight of the festival will be your chance to chat with each other during the show.
