Prize Fest 2020, despite being mostly virtual, was one of the most watched and attended in its history. Viewers from nine countries and 37 states tuned in. In the end, Prize Fest which includes a short film contest, fashion contest, music contest and culinary competition and here are the winners for 2020.

Louisiana Film Prize

$25,000 winner – Untitled Post-Baby Project

Directed by Lorna Street Dopson. Dopson is the first female director to win Film Prize and the first director from New Orleans to win.

The Top Five films include Anne Nichols Brown’s Away, Paul Petersen’s Double Date Night, TOPHERSIMON’s Imminent and Michael Landry’s Nice to Meet You.

Best Actress – Teri Wyble in Nice to Meet You

Best Actor – Garret Kruithof in Three Mile Hell

Louisiana Music Prize

$2,000 winner – Lance Thompson

Nine other local music acts participated in this virtual concert.

Louisiana Food Prize

Battle for the Golden Fork: Power to the People $1,000 prize – Tootie Morrison and Anthony Felan

This is the first time there has been a tie for this competition. Over 500 Golden Fork Passports were distributed across the six restaurants to help support our restaurant community. In addition, all of the celebrity chef cook-a-longs sold out.

Louisiana Fashion Prize

$2,000 winner – Hephzibah Thomas

This year, seven fashion designers impressed and wowed online viewers and industry judges in the second year of Fashion Prize.
