It’s the biggest short film festival with the biggest prize in the world and its right here in the Ark-La-Tex. Prize Fest 2021 features twenty short films produced in Louisiana. Last year during the pandemic, an incredible number of people logged on to watch and vote. This year, the ability to view the finalists remains but the in person opportunities to watch are back. Screenings start September 30 at these locations.

  • Robinson Film Center (617 Texas St.)
  • Prize Big Top (700 Texas St.) This is a new location with big LED screens, a covered tent and open sides.
  • Central ARTStation (801 Crockett St.)
  • Studio 616 (616 Texas St.) New location
  • East Bank Theater (630 Barksdale Blvd. in Bossier City)

Like previous festivals, the films have been broken up in to an Orange Slate and a Teal Slate to make watching them easier. Watch all twenty and then you can vote for your favorite. Along with the industry judges, one film will win $25,000. See the list of films here.

There’s more than just the films during Film Prize 2021! The Film Prize Opening Party takes place on Thursday, September 30 from 7:00pm-10:00pm. Walk the red carpet at the Prize Big Top on Friday night from 5:30pm-7:30pm. If you’re interested in the film industry, don’t miss Film Prize University from 10:00am-1:00pm on Saturday, October 2. Find out who wins on Sunday, October 3 during the Awards Brunch from 11:00am-1:00pm.
