(Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - One of the biggest ketchup manufacturers announced that they are jumping in to the spicy ketchup business. Heinz unveiled three new ketchup blends with different levels of spicy heat. For a little kick, try the Chipotle then graduate on up to the Jalapeno version. Real heat lovers will want to get their hands on the Habanero ketchup.
In addition, Heinz released a new version of their Heinz 57 sauce. According to their press release, They added flavor from real jalapeno peppers to the mix. “We know consumers are hungry for a wider variety of spicy sauces and flavors, and as a consumer-obsessed brand at the forefront of food culture, we saw an exciting opportunity to innovate around our fans’ evolving preferences,” said Lindsay Davis , Brand Manager, HEINZ Innovation at the Kraft Heinz Company. “Listening to insights gleaned from our audience showed us that a sauce’s heat source really matters to them, which served as a north star in creating new products with curated and flavorful, pepper-specific bases.” The Heinz Hot 57 Sauce is the first new 57 product released in ten years.
