SHREVEPORT, La. (Ark-La-Tex Weekend) - It’s one of the most popular places to meet up in Shreveport! The Shreveport Farmers’ Market opens for another summer season on June 3, 2023. Make sure to stop by Shreveport Festival Plaza every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until August 26th.
From their press release, “The Shreveport Farmers’ Market has over 75 vendors that sell a variety of homegrown and homemade items such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, plants, honey, breads, jams, jellies, pastries, candies, pickles, cheeses, shrimp, various canned goods, seasonings, sauces, and meats. In addition to the variety of foods, there will be local artisans that have handcrafted items such as art, jewelry, crafts, candles, soaps and dog treats.”

You can not only stock up on pantry items, meats and veggies but you can also enjoy breakfast or lunch with a few vendors making terrific meals from warm biscuits and flavored breads to local coffee and decadent wine-infused brownies. Every weekend there will be something new.
