30th Annual Yazzy Summer Morning Mix Grand Finale
7 p.m. at Shreveport RiverView Theater
This performance, My Heritage: Recognizing Black History, tells the story of two sisters who discovers their heritage by going back in time. The story is mixed with music from some of the greats in African American music.
Killer Queen: A Tribute to Queen
7:30 p.m at the First Financial Music Hall in El Dorado, Ark
Patrick Myers leads this tribute band that has played at several famous venues around the world and they are making a stop in our area.
SATURDAY, JULY 29
Tea & Textile: Shuttle Tatting
10 a.m. - Noon at Fort Jesup State Park (32 Geoghagan Rd.) in Many, La
Enjoy a spot of tea and learn all about Shuttle Tatting. This form of textile work is a time-honored tradition of lace making.
1 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Sci-Port Discovery Center
It will be a battle of epic proportions as families can bring their Nerf guns to wage a fun Nerf war to win the “Golden Blaster.”
SUNDAY, JULY 30
Annual Coin, Stamp & Card Expo
9 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Bossier Civic Center (Also on Saturday)
Find out how much those old coins, sports cards and stamps are worth. Discover how to get into collecting. Hourly door prizes.
2 p.m. at the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse at Centenary College in Shreveport (Also on Saturday night)
In the heart of Paris, these young actors take on the roles of Disney’s fan-favorite cats.
