SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Krewe of Highland is preparing for its big parade, and Matthew Linn, founder, visits KSLA to discuss the upcoming event.
On Feb. 8, Matthew Linn, the founder of the Krewe of Highland, visits KSLA’s Cafe to talk about how people should prepare for the parade this Sunday (Feb. 11), the history of the parade, and what people should expect.
After moving back to Shreveport in 1994, Highland resident, commissioner, and business owner, Matthew Linn approached the Highland Area Partnership with the idea of a neighborhood parade. The then director, Bob Marak welcomed Linn with open arms. Alongside his friends, Joe and Linda Dame, they began the Krewe of Highland.
The Parade will cover three miles with an expected 100 entries.
