Shreveport, La. — SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) has announced the theme for this year’s Christmas in the Sky.
On March 5, 2024 theme for SRAC’s international award-winning fundraising gala was announced: “Sinsational It’s Las Vegas Baby.” Heidi Kallenberg is the chairperson for the event.
The announcements were made Tuesday, March 5 at Central Artstation on Crockett Street in downtown Shreveport.
Each year, SRAC holds the Christmas in the Sky fundraiser to raise money for its projects. It’s the ArkLaTex’s premiere gala event and is a volunteer-driven fundraiser. The event is expected to happen on Dec. 14 at the Louisiana Downs.
Christmas in the Sky requires multiple different volunteer committees working throughout the year to secure auction donations, sponsorships, and to create sets, props and costumes to bring the event to life. Typically, more than 500 people work on the event.
