SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A long-running art nonprofit, Shreveport Art Club is celebrating 103 years in operation and holding an award ceremony for its juried exhibition at the Louisiana State Exhibition Museum.
On August 4, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., the Louisiana State Exhibition Museum (LSEM), 3015 Greenwood Road, is hosting the Shreveport Art Club’s annual juried exhibition and awards ceremony. During the event, the Shreveport Art Club, a nonprofit, will also celebrate 103 years in operation.

Founded in 1921, the Shreveport Art Club organization was founded by several important and nationally known artists for the purpose of holding art classes and gallery talks.
The exhibition will be on display until August 30, featuring acrylic, oil, watercolor, mixed media collage and photographic works, all of which have been created within the last two years and are original works.
