Shreveport’s Sushi Gen reopens after 2023 devastating fire

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Sushi Gen is welcoming back customers after its Shreveport restaurant was restored from a 2023 fire.

Following a devastating fire on Feb 9, 2023, Sushi Gen, a Japanese cuisine restaurant, was closed due to damages. During that time, Sushi Gen had a small temporary restaurant set up in the old Sonic building nearby.

After a long remodel, Sushi Gen’s original location’s repair and remodel are finished, and the restaurant is reopening on July 31 at 4:30 p.m.
