BOSSIER CITY, La. (KSLA) - Bossier Arts Council is celebrating 45 years of providing art access and resources to the northwest Louisiana area.
On July 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Bossier Arts Council (BAC) is celebrating its 45 Years Birth Day with a 45 record painting party and social event that is free to attend.
BAC has provided arts and art resources to the city’s community, focusing on expanding opportunities in theatre, visual arts, festivals, exhibitions, art education for children and adults, public arts, and financial initiatives.
"Join us as we celebrate our mission of supporting the arts of Bossier Parish with an evening of fun entertainment & creativity," says BAC.

Record painting
Attendees will have a chance to find your song and visualize it on an old 45 record to make a custom art piece for themselves. Paint stations will be set up for you to sit down and create original art. The Little Shop of Music Shreveport donated the 45 records for this event.

Donations
Attendance to the event is free, but consider giving a birthday gift to the BAC by donating to the nonprofit. Any donation of $45 and above will get to hang on the “Wall of Hits” on the stairwell to the theatre.
Donations of $450 or more will go platinum on the wall of hits. Contributions can be made from now until Dec. 31. Donate by clicking HERE.
Live performances
K-Tea

One of the performances will be by jewelry artist and singer/songwriter, K-Tea Callahan, whose music is described as an ethereal soul & blues with a side of jazz. AmberDawn Landrum & A-Part actors

The owner of Stage to Screen Studio and BAC studio resident, AmberDawn Landrum, will organize a series of short-form performances throughout the evening that will be enjoyed in the East Bank Theatre. The skits will be performed by local A-Part Actors from BAC’s monthly A-Part Acting & Theatre Workshops.
