SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Major talents from New Orleans, Austin, Dallas and Shreveport were selected as finalists for Music Prize 2025.
On July 30, the top 11 musicians were announced for this year’s Music Prize.
These artists are set to compete for a $10,000 grand prize at Prize Fest’s two-night live showcase on October 17 and 18.
The finalists were revealed in a virtual broadcast that was viewed by fans, musicians, and industry professionals from across the country. Over 1,000 musical acts from around the country submitted recordings of live sets.
Finalists were selected by a panel of music industry judges and an online semifinalist vote.

Opens in new window“We have never seen this level of talent at the Music Prize, and we expect this to be one of the most special boutique music festivals in the country,” said Gregory Kallenberg, founder of Music Prize and Executive Director of the Prize Foundation. “We hope everyone can attend and help rebuild our region back into an indie music capital.”
The finalists feature award-winning musical acts from music meccas like Austin, Dallas, and New Orleans. Of the finalists, two musical acts are from the city of Shreveport, including Bond+ and Slive, an artist who has been featured on KSLA’s ArkLaTex Artistry.

- Pocket Chocolate - New Orleans, LA

- Slive - Shreveport, LA
