SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Food truck, Cal Tex Barbecue, is making Great Raft Brewing its permanent home.
Great Raft Brewing will be adding a new, highly acclaimed, BBQ food truck permanently to their location,
On August 9th, a grand opening celebration will be held, featuring live music and the seasonal release of Great Raft’s Oktoberfest beer.
“This partnership marks an exciting chapter for Cal Tex Barbecue as they move closer to their goal of opening a brick-and-mortar location, while providing Great Raft Brewing visitors a one-of-a-kind dining experience that celebrates local flavor and community,” says a statement from Cal Tex.
Cal Tex Barbecue has been a staple food truck in the Shreveport/Bossier food scene for some time. Its meat is expertly smoked infused with California and Mexican influences.

“Our unique craft-style barbecue brings an experience similar to what a brewing company like Great Raft brings in the beer industry,” says Co-Founder Charles Brickett. “You’re not going to find it everywhere, and it’s not going to be boring. We’ll push the limits of traditional smoked meats paired with unorthodox flair, which pairs brilliantly with a locally brewed beer!”

- Tuesday through Thursday: 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: Noon – 8 p.m.
